Urad dal pakoda recipe

 


Ingredients

250 gram urad dal / Black gram whole (soaked for 3 to 4 hours in water)

1 tea spoon salt (or as per your taste) / Namak

½ tea spoon baking power

1 tea spoon cumin seeds / Jeera

½ glass water / Pani

3 table spoon rice flour / Chawal ka atta

1 tea spoon chaat masala

2 green chilli fine chopped (or as per your taste) / Hari Mirch

½ bowl coriander leaves fine chopped / Hara dhaniya

2 medium size onion fine chopped / Pyaaz

Cooking oil (as required for frying) / Tel

 

Preparation

·       Take a mixture jar & add Urad dal rinsed well drain all excess water (soaked for 3 to 4 hours in water), salt (as required), baking powder, cumin powder, water (as required) & grind it to make smooth batter.

·       Once smooth batter is ready add rice flour, chaat masala, chilli fine chopped (as required), coriander leaves fine chopped (as required), medium size onion fine chopped in the batter & mix it well to combine.

·       Heat a pan add oil in it & start dropping spoonful of batter mixture using your finger or small spoon & deep fry pakodas & deep fry it on medium flame till they turn golden brown in colour from all the sides.

·       Remove it on absorbent tissue paper

·       Done.

·       Yummy! Urad dal pakoda are ready to serve.
