Ingredients
1 big tomato / Tamatar (Grind to paste)
4 table spoon cooking oil / Tel
½ kg lady figure cut medium pcs / Bhindi / Okra
1 big onion cut 4 pieces & sperate its layers / Pyaaz
½ tea spoon carom seeds / Ajwain
½ tea spoon cumin seeds / Jeera
1 onion fine chopped / Pyaaz
1 tea spoon ginger garlic paste / Adrak lassan paste
1 tea spoon salt (or as per your taste) / Namak
½ tea spoon turmeric powder / Haldi powder
½ tea spoon red chilli powder / Lal mirch powder
½ tea spoon coriander powder / Dhaniya powder
½ tea spoon cumin powder / Jeera powder
2 table spoon curd / Dahi
½ tea spoon dry mango powder / Amchur powder
½ tea spoon garam masala
Preparation
- Take 1 big tomato, grind to make paste, keep it aside.
- Heat a pan add cooking oil in the same.
- Then take lady finger cut medium pcs (Bhindi / Okra).
- Then add lady finger in the pan. Fry the same for 5 minutes on high flame ster continuously to avoid burning.
- Remove it & keep it aside.
- Add cooking oil in the same pan.
- Take an onion cut into 4 pieces & then sperate it’s layers. Fry for 1 minute on high flame till onion turns slight brown ster continuously to avoid burning.
- Remove the same & keep it aside.
- Then add cooking oil in the same pan.
- Add carom seeds (Ajwain), cumin seeds in the same, and roast it for 15 to 20 seconds.
- Then add onion fine chopped in the pan. Fry the same on high flame till it turns slight golden-brown in colour ster continuously to avoid burning.
- Now add ginger garlic paste, salt (as required), tomato paste (which we prepared) in the same. Roast on medium flame for 3 to 5 minutes or till oil starts separating. Ster continuously to avoid burning.
- Then add turmeric powder, red chilli powder, coriander powder, cumin powder in the pan. Roast it for 10 to 12 seconds.
- Then add curd in the same. Mix well for 2 to 3 minutes on medium flame ster continuously.
- Then add dry mango powder (amchur powder), garam masala in the same.
- Mix it well.
- Then add fried lady finger in the pan.
- Mix well to combine. Now add fried onion which we have kept aside.
- Mix it well to combine.
- Cover lid & cook on low flame for 6 to 7 minutes till lady finger turns tended.
- Uncover lid after 6 to 7 minutes.
- Check if lady finger has turned tended.
