Paneer butter masala recipe

 


Ingredients

4 table spoon oil / Tel

200g paneer (Cut small cubes)

4 table spoon butter / Makhan

8 to 10 cloves / Lavang

2 to 3 bay leaves / Tez patta

2 onion chopped / Pyaaz

1 tea spoon salt (or as per your taste) / Namak

2 chopped tomato / tamatar

1 table spoon ginger garlic paste / Adrak lassan paste

½ tea spoon cumin powder / Jeera powder

½ tea spoon coriander powder / Dhaniya powder

½ tea spoon turmeric powder / Haldi powder

½ tea spoon red chilli powder / Lal mirch powder

10 to 12 cashews / Kaju

1 cup water / Pani

½ tea spoon garam masala

2 table spoon fresh cream / Malai

1 tea spoon Dry Kasturi (Kasuri) methi leaves (crush with palm) / Dry fenugreek leaves

 

Preparation

·       Take a pan add oil in it.

·       Then add paneer (cut small cubes) in the same.

·       Shallow fry the paneer on medium flame from all sides till golden-brown in colour.

·       Gently reverse the side & fry on medium flame from all sides till golden-brown in colour.

·       Done paneer is ready.

·       Remove the same and keep it aside.

·       Then add butter in the left over oil used to fry paneer.

·       Mix the butter till it melts.

·       Then add cloves, bay leaves in the same. And roast it for few seconds.

·       Then add onion (chopped) in the pan. Roast the same for a minutes

·       Then add salt (as required) in the same & mix it well for 10 to 15 seconds.

·       Add tomato in the same.

·       Mix it well.

·       Now add ginger garlic paste, cumin powder, coriander powder, turmeric powder, red chilli powder & cashews in the pan.

·       Roast the same for 2 minutes on medium flame.

·       Then cover lid and cook on low flame for 10 minutes till tomato turns soft.

·       Uncover lid after 10 minutes.

·       Roast for 1 minute & then turn of the flame.

·       Now take this mixture in a mixture jar & grind till smooth thick paste. You can add little water (as required) & keep it aside.

·       Then add oil in the pan.

·       Add butter in the same.

·       Now add grinded masala mixture which we have prepared in it.

·       Roast for 1 to 2 minutes on medium flame till excess water dries off & oil starts separating.

·       Once you can see that the oil have started separating mix the mixture well.

·       Then add water in it.

·       Mix well & cook for 2 to 3 minutes on medium flame.

·       Masala gravy should be semi thick.

·       Now add garam masala in the same.

·       Mix well to combined.

·       Now add fresh cream in the pan. Mix well to combine for a minute.

·       Now place the fried paneer cubes in it.

·       Gently mix well.

·       Then add Kasturi (kasuri) methi (crushed with palm) in the same.

·       Mix it well.

·       Done Tasty! Paneer butter is ready to serve.
